Our Story
Macy and Mallory grew up on their family’s dairy and crop farm. Cole Farms is a 4th generation family farm, established in the early 1900’s. They are primarily a dairy and crop farm, but they also have beef cattle, horses, and goats. From a young age they watched their father, Kevin, work endless hours to make sure the farm and all of the animals were well taken care of. It was through Kevin’s selfless passion for the farm that inspired both Macy and Mallory to follow in his footsteps.
Living on Cole Farms, Macy had access to safe and high-quality beef. She felt that local, homegrown meats should be more easily accessible for people who did not live on or own a farm. She and her cousin Jeremy brainstormed the plan to market USDA, homegrown beef available to the community. They both believed immensely in this idea and they worked together to begin MJ Farms. They officially opened the store in early 2018, and it has been growing ever since. What started out as just beef sales has now developed into a full farm fresh grocery store. Mallory later joined her sister in developing the store. They are passionate about selling high quality food from their farm and other local businesses. Macy dedicates the success of MJ Farms to the support of her local community and her parents, Janeen and Kevin.
